The Original Craft Beer Yoga.

Who is Hoppy Yoga?

In 2013, Hoppy Yoga was formed to build community around two passions, yoga and craft beer.

Hoppy Yoga partners with local craft breweries to host classes in their tasting rooms.

An optional craft beer social follows each class to give participants the opportunity to try the various brews and connect with one another.

The first pint, pour or flight is included with registration.

Lynne Officer

Lynne Officer was introduced to yoga in 1999 and fell in love at first handstand. She took the relationship deeper by completing an interdisciplinary flow teacher training course with an emphasis on alignment and awareness in 2008. She designs her classes for all levels and combines breath, physical alignment, and strength to cultivate harmony and balance in the body. She is dedicated to helping students become more conscious through connection to breath in movement and stillness and to have fun along the way. Her favorite thing about teaching Hoppy Yoga: “We do down dogs in breweries, this is serious yoga people!”

Kristina Koltai

Originally from Los Angeles, Kristina has resided in San Diego for over 19 years. Beginning her practice in 2002, Kristina experienced first hand how yoga changes both your quality of life and your response to life’s challenges. During her 200 RYT teacher training at YogaWell, she found her passion for Vinyasa yoga and discovered her desire to share this style of practice with others. The moving meditation of Vinyasa Yoga quieted her mind and brought her body to a level of physical well-being she’d never known before. She encourages her students to build greater self-awareness, empowerment, and peace through their yoga practice.

Mia Degroot

Mia's style draws inspiration from a variety of yoga styles including Anusara, Iyengar, Hatha and Vinyasa flow and studied under Diana Beardsley, Michael and Amy Caldwell at YogaOne in San Diego. She teaches postures synchronized with breath to cultivate mind-body awareness. Initially drawn to yoga to improve flexibility and strength, she discovered a deeper experience and the immense benefits it brought to her life off the mat. She is a practitioner, passionate teacher, and mostly in it for Savasana. After Hoppy Yoga on off the mat, you can find her drinking a sour selection as her favorite post-class brew.

Nam is an RYT500 & E-RYT200 teacher who has been featured on Yoga International. As a student of yoga and functional movement modalities, his yoga classes are grounded in strength, anatomical detail and mindfulness. Nam offers detailed verbal cues and expert hands on adjustments/assists to help his students find a fuller experience in their yoga practice; emphasizing breath and proper alignment in each of his classes. Whether teaching a restorative or vinyasa class, students can expect to explore their strengthens, work on focus, and learn to find balance on and off the mat. As a YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) educator, Nam also enjoys helping students as well as other teachers further their study and understanding of yoga and movement.

Amy Freeman

Yoga found Amy in 1995 during a college Philosophy course. Little did she know at the time it would change the whole trajectory of her life. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology (NYC) with a degree in Fashion Merchandising Marketing and French. After working in the fast paced world of Fashion for 3 years (Assistant Buyer at Neiman Marcus, Buyer at Belk) she made the decision to follow her intuition and pursue her passion for Yoga. She moved to an Ashram in rural Virginia, Yogaville, and studied with Swami Satchidananda in 2001. Yoga has been her passion and full time work since then. Amy's all levels Vinyasa Flow classes fluidly blend breath, movement, alignment, intention/mindfulness to create a safe, playful atmosphere. "Feel free to Feel Free".... Amy encourages students to enjoy class at their own pace. Her goal is to help students find and maintain an easeful body and peaceful mind. Amy is also a Reiki Level 1 practitioner and will sometimes incorporate Reiki into her classes. Amy is mom to two boys, age 11 and 13. In her free time she likes to travel with her husband and watch her boys play basketball, baseball and band.

Erin's introduction to yoga began over 10 years ago. As yoga began to transform her life, she looked for ways to deepen her practice. In 2007, she took Yoga One's 100 hour teacher training course with Amy Caldwell and Diana Beardsley and in 2014, she completed Yoga One's 200 hour certificate. Erin's teaches an approachable but challenging alignment-based flow with an emphasis on conscious sequencing.
